{Nautical Inspiration}
Though I have been a'slackin in my blogging lately...I have been quite the busy bee: venturing out in D.C. & Baltimore often, attending a phenomenal performance by KT Tunstall (courtesty of my sweetheart), and going on quite a shopping spree with momma bear! When your arms and back hurt from all of the bags you are carrying, there might be a slight addiction problem. However, it was pay day, I was off of work & ready to score some major deals. I am slightly majorly obsessed with the nautical look, so my ever-expanding nautical wardrobe is the inspiration for today's post. In honor of the upcoming summer full of BBQ's, pool parties & trips to downtown Annapolis, I've decided to share some of my favorite red, white & blue looks, with a splash of yellow:

I do love nautical style! It's one of my fave looks, as soon as the sun comes out I'm desperate for a breton stripe! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful, isn't it? I'm wearing a breton striped top as we speak :)
ReplyDeleteOh I love all these beautiful nautical items. Oh I want to be by the sea and sail away!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a wonderfully long weekend!
Much Love,
Crystal
P.S. Just sent you the email with the questions for the travel series!
Crystal - I do too! I just got the email :) I will try & write a post up, but it may be a little while until I can incorporate pictures. I'm debating on whether to do Baltimore or D.C.!
ReplyDeleteDesperately want a nautical styled bikini this year! Great post. :)
ReplyDeleteYou're killing me! I have what you could call a mild nautical obsession. From necklaces to print patterns to scarves (yeah, yeah, I DO have a nautical themed pashmina afghan! ;)... so I LOVE everything you posted! Especially the decorations - my living room decor is nautical themed :)
ReplyDeleteL.
Tmo - Me too!
ReplyDeleteLauren - Love it! My obsession seems to be getting bigger & bigger every year. I really want to start investing in decor. I literally have been collecting waterford crystal for the past 4 years with cobalt blue in it to go with a china set I will be inheriting on my wedding (also with cobalt blue)...all for the purpose of creating a nautical themed kitchen/living room. if that isn't dedication, I don't know what it ;-)
I love red white and blue with a splash of yellow. I think yellow is such an underrated color to spice things up with. I LOVE yellow as an accent - especially with a nautical look!
ReplyDeleteBetty - I agree, accenting with yellow is sometimes the perfect touch :)Thanks for your feedback!
