It's almost time.
This time tomorrow I will be on my way to New Orleans...

As soon as I arrive it is literally go time.
Hair, makeup and donning this old prom dress...
...will quickly follow my landing in LA because my friend & I have been invited to Enymion, the mack daddy of Mardi Gras balls!

Yay! You're coming to my town! I do have a couple of suggestions for you!
ReplyDelete1) Make sure you go to Bourbon Street before the parades. After the parades it is literally wall to wall people and just not that good of an experience. I was with my 6'4'' 300lb husband on Bourbon Street and he couldn't control where he was going, If he can't control the crowd at all, no one can. It's great fun to go, just do it during the day.
2) Make it to the Funky Pirate for the Shark Attack! It's an AWESOME drink! And, spend a few minutes in a seat and listen to to Big Al sing the blues to you!
3) I am firmly of the opinion that Port of Call can be skipped. The burgers are pretty average and the wait to get in is just way too long. If you were to get a hamburger, I recommend going to Yo Mama's on St. Peter's (Just a couple of blocks from the Funky Pirate) and get their Peanut Butter burger! It's AMAZING!
Your itinerary looks AWESOME and I'm so jealous that you get to go to the Endymion ball!!! I hope to get to go one day! Have fun in the Big Easy!
